The Man With No Limbs ‘Nick Vujicic’

Nick Vujicic, Founder and President, Life Without Limbs, USA, is captured during the session "Inspired for a Lifetime" at the Annual Meeting 2011 of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, January 30, 2011.

Nick Vujicic was born in 1982, in Melbourne, Australia. He was born with no limbs, due to the tetra_amelia syndrome ( a rare disorder characterized by the absence of four limbs). He considered his disability as a curse with which he was burdened, he was troubled with haunting fear preventing him to live life happily as all people in the world. Nick experienced bitter moments which were very hard to handle, death was the only option for him, he tried to drown himself in the bathtub more than once; however , he couldn’t do it as he remembered his family, his friends and all the people who stood by and supported him.

One day, a stranger smiled at Nick, it is a simple smile yet it held the greatest effect, it was the point of change and one of the reasons Nick was inspired later to shine his life and start the positive optimistic path. Nick decided to share his story with people and inspire them the same way the man did. He travelled to 44 different countries of the world and shared his story with five million people, he has helped people to find meaning to life and to concentrate on the things they have more than the things they lacked. Now Nick is a father, a motivational speaker, an author, a musician, and the founder of the non_profit organization Life Without Limbs. Nick’s disability didn’t prevent him to live his life to the highest level, he likes swimming and sky diving. Nick has overcome all the real and mental barriers that were holding him back. He is the man with no limbs but with a heart filled with faith and love.
